Product Description

  • This is a great hot wax iron for home tuners that will fit nearly anyone's budget.
  • It features a hefty 3/8"-thick aluminum base that measures 4 1/4x 5 3/4...so it"s large enough to span most skis in one pass, or snowboards in 2 side-by-side passes.
  • Temperature is adjustable from 212F to 320F (100C to 160C).
  • The iron warms up to optimal operating temperature in 5 minutes, and features a heating element that fluctuates only +/- 5*C.
  • Temperatures are printed in Celcius on the dial, not a big deal as most waxes have both Celcius and Farenheit printed on the label, a conversion chart is included in the box.
  • Cord length is 8-feet.
  • 120 volt, 850 watts.
A note about voltage: No doubt you have seen voltage denoted as 110, 115, 120 or 220, 230, 240, this can be a bit confusing we know. Basically electronic devices are designed to operate between 110-120 volts or 220-240 volts. Manufacturers generally allow for a 10% or so fluctuation in appliances to account for localized voltages. We have attempted to standardize our voltage listings at Tognar by listing the high end of the recommended voltage range, so you'll see either 120V for devices designed for North America and 240V for devices designed for Australia, New Zealand, Europe, etc. Hope this helps simplify things!

  1. Good not great 2 Star Review

Does not hold heat long enough to do more than one board, while doing just the one board you have to hold it away from the board to reheat, to even melt the wax on the board you have to use it on max temperature and hold it in place some times so the board actually absorbs the wax. Don't get me wrong it works, it just takes longer to do a good job. I should have expected this quality for the price. I wish I would have bought something better. The reviews I read were of no help now that I have used the product. If it was $20 I could have said "you get what you pay for" but for $40 it is not worth it.

Heats quickly. Nice light weight. Temperate stays pretty constant for universal waxes.

i bought this iron 2 years ago and have used it regularly every season, its well made and easy to use. heats fairly evenly, temperature dial is accurate and the temperature doesnt jump too much. i do notice the front of the iron gets hotter than the back but it doesnt make too much of a diference once you get the base nice and warm.

all and all, its the an awesome iron for its price
