3M microfiber towels
A decade ago, after a speaking engagement at 3M, I was gifted a bag of their products. One of those items was a 3M microfiber cloth. And since then, I’ve had one in my back pocket every day. Side note: it seems like my side quest in life is to clean every pair of filthy sunglasses out there. I don't know how some of y'all can even see. Recently, I tried to replenish my stock (as I tend to give them away to anyone who appreciates the quality and usefulness), but I found that their availability had greatly diminished. My search led me to a random supplier, and I ordered what I thought was a pack of them for $10. What arrived instead was a single towel. When I got their customer satisfaction email, I responded with a simple comment: "$10 for a single towel seems like an unjustifiable price." (And honestly who needs only one towel?) Honestly, I didn’t expect anyone to read it, let alone respond. But then I got this email back: It would’ve been easy for Scott and Tognar to brush off this minor complaint over a microfiber towel for a $10 purchase—literally and figuratively. But instead he took the critical feedback and did something with it. When I coach leaders around the topics of critical feedback, I encourage them to examine that feedback—not for whether it's true, but rather, for how it is in fact, true. So often our inclination is to defend negative experience's that others have by pointing out that it wasn't our intent, they should have known better, or even sometimes—dismissing the credibility of the source. But when leaders choose to take this critical feedback and explore it for its truth, they can almost always find something meaningful and valuable in it. Then and only then, I encourage them to choose whether or not to do something with it. Scott and Tognar, well done on your self-awareness, responsibility, and outreach. It was newsletter worthy. And if you want your very own 3M microfiber towel from Tognar, now available at a newly negotiated price of $4.95 (thanks to yours truly), click below.

Great product- ridiculous pricing from Tognar
I purchased this “item” assuming like always it would be a pack of 3m microfiber towels. Instead I was sent 1 single towel. Bizarre way to do business.
