180 gram bar of Swix Universal wax, not retail packaged (no lid), shipped in a plastic zipper lock bag.
This is a harder, more durable universal wax perfect for use in regions with colder temperatures and/or aggressive (icy) snow conditions.
If you're unsure exactly which wax to use for the day...or simply can't be bothered mucking around with finicky temperature specific waxes...use a universal wax and you'll be good 97.5% of the time.
- Glides well in most snow conditions and temperature ranges.
- Take the guess work out of waxing!
- 180g bar (bulk packaged, no lid).
Thoughts on universal waxes:
Unfortunately there is no "magic bullet" wax that is going to run the best in every condition, there are simply too many variables. That being said, universal waxes do run well in most conditions the average skier or boarder will encounter, with the best glide usually found in the mid-temperature range and decreasing as the temperature moves to either extreme. If you ski on harder or colder snow you might do well choosing a Cold Universal wax (for increased durability). If you ski late into Spring you might choose a universal wax with a bit of flouro (like Hertel Spring Solution or Swix F4) to improve your glide on the wet, older snowpack. So, if you aren't racing, but want to take care of your bases, maintain a nice glide and make turning easier then a universal wax might be just what you need.
