Product Overview

  • This popular and precise tool bevels ski base and side bevel edges (although not simultaneously) from 0° to 5° in .5° increments. 
  • It includes a 2.75" steel mill file, which is inserted vertically in the tool to work on side edges, and horizontally for base edges. 
  • Small enough for travel, but robust enough for daily tuning.
  • Very easy to use.
  • The tool will accommodate any of the 2.75" (70mm) files or stones we offer.

Some good additions to go with this tool

  • DMT Diamond Stone Set - Used in place of file to sharpen and polish edges (without removing too much material).
  • Replacement Mill File - Replaces the original one included with this tool (standard 2nd cut all-around file).

    I was recommended this tool by a friend I met on the lift this past season, and wow, I am impressed! It is easy to hold and use, and I don't drop it! Highly recommend.

    Tool is easy to use. Wide base makes accurate alignment against ski base for selected edge angle simple and consistent.

    Great tool. I bought a second unit as most of the skis I am tuning for myself and family require 1 degree base edge and 2 degree side edge so having two tools saves time in changing the settings. Also dropped one of the tools and lost the button and spring and the company is sending replacement parts I believe free of charge. Who else does that? Great company.

    Accidentally dropped this tool on the floor and it came apart in pieces. After searching for one hr for what I assumed was a missing washer, I called Scott, who advised that the part missing was actually a spring that sits under the plastic fastener that holds the tool together. Armed with that info, I finally found the missing spring and put the tool back together, good as new. Many thx to Scott for his help, and offering to send me a new spring if I couldn't locate the missing one. BTW, the tool works just fine.

    I've used this tool to maintain the specified (from the brand and make of the skis/snowboard) base & edge angles for years. Today, sadly to say, I dropped on concrete and the internal spring shot somewhere.....did not find... Need to order another tool, perhaps one with no internal parts.....

    This tool offers greater precision and versatility compared to similar on-the-go sharpeners such as Toko (you can exchange diamond stones with files etc). It is also more compact and sturdy and easy to carry with the rest of your equipment. It can't replace machine tune-ups though, but it can definitely help to get the best of your edges and prolong maintenance intervals.
