If you LOVE FAST skis, this is your tool. I have put overlays on hundreds of pairs with the Wax Wizard and I am always amazed at how well it works. BUT- a new cloth MUST be "seasoned" with wax before top performance. After 3-4 pairs, the cloth works better and better.

I love this tool. It is fast, clean, wastes very little wax and most importantly there is no chance of burning your base with a malfunctioning iron or poor technique.
Also great for travel, easy to use in a hotel or condo without inflicting the owners wrath.
The only downsde is I spend less time hanging around the ski shops having my skis tuned and this cuts into my time spent drooling at new skis, Ah well sacrifices must me made

I really like these Wax Whizards. I use them especially when I am traveling to crayon-in some wax and then cork it in with the Wax Whizard. I also use them between trips to crayon on some extra wax instead of heating up the iron, having to scrape, etc. I only iron-in wax about 3-4x per season and the rest of the time, I use the Wax Whizard to keep my ski bases fully waxed.
They are wonderful travel tools to take to the ski condo during a trip with no access to an iron, or even to the ski hill during the spring when the snow is extra abrasive. I have several as gifts for friends and family.

Warm your wax cake, crayon wax on ski base, rub in with Wax Wizard, buff. Ten minutes per pair of skis, NO MESS. There is a minor learning curve, but this is the waxing tool of all tools for recreational skiers.
