NEEDLE PICK
These steel needle
picks are handy critters. Use 'em for picking old glue or plastic plugs out of
binding screw holes, extracting grit and grime from base gouges and nicks, cleaning
out between delaminated layers before gluing skis back together, etc. It features
both a straight and right-angle pick and measures 8" long.
Item #KOB-80 Needle Pick: $4.95
DELAM CLAMPS
These small
C-clamps are just the right size for clamping up a delaminated ski or snowboard
after you've applied epoxy with your oyster knife. They open to 1-1/2" and have
a deep throat to reach halfway across the waist of an alpine ski. Place a steel
scraper and some release paper or plastic bags on both outer surfaces before tightening
these down so you don't mar the ski/snowboard base or top finish. Buy several
to apply even pressure over the repair area.
Item #ACE-CC2 Delam Clamps:$3.95 each
OYSTER KNIVES
The flat thin
blades of these puppies are ideal for prying open delaminations just wide enough
so you can get inside to clean out gunk, dry out water, slip in epoxy and spread
it around. Naturally, they're pretty good for prying open oysters, too.
Item #KWI-141022 Oyster Knife: $14.95
HYSOL EPOXY
This is the best
delam epoxy in the repairs business. The slow (8 to 24 hour) curing time provides
a more flexible bond without sacrificing strength, and it dries crystal clear
or can be colored with pigments to match ski or snowboard cosmetics. Especially
recommended for delaminations, gluing in base patches , or any other applications
where flexibility is paramount. If necessary, you can accelerate the curing time
by applying judicious heat with a heat lamp or gun, but never exceed 200 degrees
F. Two tubes make 6 oz total.
Item #SPK-EC Hysol Epoxy: $19.95
CLEAR EPOXY
This 2-hour (curing
time) epoxy is a good compromise between the speed of the quick-set epoxy and
the elastic strength of the slow-set epoxy. It produces good strong bonds for
topsheet, sidewall and delamination repairs...especially in the "waist" area of
skis and snowboards where flexibility is not as critical. This is a clear, two-part
mix...25ml total. It can be colored using our pigments (listed further below).
Item #ACE-31345 Clear Epoxy Tubes: $4.95
QUICK-SET EPOXY
These little "double-bubble"
epoxy packets are handy for those fast and simple repair jobs (like up on the
hill or trail) when just a little goo is all you need. The working time of this
stuff is 3-5 minutes, with up to a 60-minute total curing time. It is recommended
for use where flexibility is not critical...if you need a more elastic bond (like
delaminations at ski or snowboard tips/tails), check out the urethane glue offered
below.
Item #SPK-FE Quick-Set Epoxy: $1.95
URETHANE GLUE
These small 2-part
bubble packs of urethane glue are ideal for repairs where the greatest flexibility
and impact absorption is required (like delaminated tips and tails). It can also
be used for polyurethane ski and snowboard boot shell modifications. The working
time is 4-8 minutes, with a curing time of up to 60 minutes.
Item #SPK-D50U Urethane Glue: $1.95
PIGMENT
Mix this color pigment with epoxy or
urethane to match the color of topskins, sidewalls, etc. on your skis or snowboard.
You can also intermix pigments to create different colors. 2oz bottles. Tip! Preheat uncapped for a few seconds in a microwave to homogenize.
Item #SVT-EPBL Blue Pigment: $6.95
Item #SVT-EPR Red Pigment: $6.95
Item #SVT-EPY Yellow Pigment: $6.95
Item #SVT-EPW White Pigment: $6.95
Item #SVT-EPB Black Pigment: $6.95

EPOXY & GLUE SYRINGE
This 10cc plastic
syringe is a handy tool for injecting epoxy or glue deep into delaminations or
binding holes. If mounting honeycomb or hollow core skis or board, it's imperative
to completely fill the binding screw holes with epoxy before inserting the binding
screws. This disposable syringe does the job well.
