Product Description

  • Tungsten carbide files are amazingly sharp and leave an incredibly smooth finish. They are more costly than a standard file but the cost is partially offset by their longevity, they stay sharp a good long time.
  • The 3216 features two small tungsten files per side, attached to an aluminum plate. This reduces the cost of the file with very little reduction in performance. 
  • The aluminum plate measures 25mm x 70mm.
  • Designed to fit any tool that will accept 70mm inserts, like the MTK 701 or use with any fixed-angle side bevel guide.
  • Tungsten carbide files are more brittle than standard files, so take care to remove major burrs (caused by rock damage, etc.) prior to filing to avoid damage to the teeth.
  • For side edge tuning only.
