Product Description

  • These metal and plastic laminate 'stones' have industrial diamonds bonded to them.
  • DMT diamond stones last a long time if kept clean (we use an old toothbrush with wax remover or Ronson lighter fluid for this)
  • Use with light pressure (a heavy hand can prematurely break diamonds loose from the stone).
  • We also use them wet (dip 'em in a cup of water or use edge polishing solution) to help keep debris from clogging the diamonds.
  • Available in 4" and a handy 2.75" for multi edge tools like the MTK 701
  • Also sold in sets
  • OPTIONS AVAILABLE
  • BLACK
  • Extra Coarse  (220 grit)
  • Best for repairing rock damage on steel edges when they've been 'work-hardened' by impact and look glazed and/or very ragged
  • Also good for re-sharpening carbide tips on ski skating poles
  • BLUE
  • Coarse (325 grit)
  • Use the medium blue model  for deburring side edges after filing or beveling.
  • RED
  • Fine (600 grit)
  • for finer deburring and edge polishing.
  • GREEN
  • Extra fine  (1200 grit)
  • The extra-fine green stone for even smoother finishes.

  1. works

I use these freehand and in my adjustable edge guide. They work well and last a ling time. Light pressure is all you need. I wash them with soap and water after each use so they cut well every time.

This is my first set of diamond stones and they work very well so far. I have been enjoying learning how to use them as well as the results of my labor on the snow.

These diamond stones are proven to do the job. I have used them ever since I started to work on my skis as a young racer.

  6. Made in America

Posted by Ford on 22nd Nov 2012

I got the full set that came with the little black bag. These stones are made in America, so you know, they're really good. They fit well with the Pro Sharp Base Bevel Guide sold by tognar as well as the SVST side bevel guides. I like that they only require water was lube when polishing edges. This is a must own for any snow rider.
